Aims and Objectives of the Board
- i) To undertake the overall comprehensive development of the Kurukshetra Area, including its landscaping, renovation of historical buildings and tanks.
- ii) Provision of sheds, huts, etc. for pilgrims.
- iii) Provision of civic amenities for pilgrims.
- iv) Provision of suitable accommodation arrangements for tourists.
- v) To raise awareness about the richness and importance of the Kurukshetra Area.
- vi) To develop tourism and a cultural corridor for the Kurukshetra Area.
- vii) Maintenance of cleanliness at all the sacred places throughout the year.
- viii) To create effective linkages between tourism and cultural facilities by developing tourism circuits in the Kurukshetra Area.
- ix) To establish museums, libraries, and research institutions for the Kurukshetra Area.
- x) To develop and publish books and booklets in different languages for student readership pertaining to the Kurukshetra Area.
- xi) To work and build partnerships with various institutions and organizations in and outside the State in line with the objectives of the Kurukshetra Development Board.
- xii) To organize an annual festival “GITA JAYANTI MAHOTSAV” on the occasion of Ekadashi, Shukal Paksha, Margshirsh to create cultural awareness.
- xiii) Development of amusement places, parks, car parking, coffee shops, restaurants, handicrafts centers, and other tourism-based infrastructure for tourist attraction in the Kurukshetra Area.
- xiv) Development of a land-use perspective plan of the Kurukshetra Area.
