वराह तीर्थ बराह कला
विष्णु अवतार वराह से सम्बन्धित तीर्थ
यह तीर्थ भगवान विष्णु के तीसरे अवतार वराह को समर्पित है। महाभारत के अनुसार इस तीर्थ में विष्णु वराह रूप में विद्यमान हैं। वामन पुराण के अनुसार इस तीर्थ में श्रद्धायुक्त चित्त से स्नान करने वाला मनुष्य परमपद का अधिकारी होता है। यहाँ स्थित वराह मन्दिर में भगवान विष्णु के वराह रूप की 8वीं 9वीं शती ई. की अष्टभुजी प्रतिमा स्थापित है। वराह की यह प्रस्तर प्रतिमा सौन्दर्य की दृष्टि से अनुपम है। तीर्थ के नाम से ही इस ग्राम का नाम वराह कलां पड़ा।

This tirtha is dedicated to Varaha, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Vaman Puran, a person who takes bath in the waters of this tirtha with devotion becomes entitled for supreme bliss. The tirtha temple has a stone image of Varaha dating 8th-9th century CE. It is a eight-armed image of the deity. This village was named Brah Kalan after the name of the tirtha.
