वामन तीर्थ सौंगल
प्राचीन कुरुक्षेत्र के वामन तीर्थो में से एक
महाभारत के अनुसार तीनों लोकों में विख्यात इस वामन नामक तीर्थ में जाकर विष्णुपद में स्नान कर तथा वामन भगवान की पूजा करने वाला मनुष्य सभी पापों से मुक्त होकर विष्णुलोक को प्राप्त करता है। वामन पुराण के अनुसार यहां भगवान विष्णु ने वामन रूप धारण कर राजा बलि के राज्य का हरण कर उसे इन्द्र को प्रदान किया था। यहां तीर्थ स्थित मन्दिर में कई भित्तिचित्र बने हैं जिनमें शेषशायी विष्णु, नाभि कमल से प्रकट होते ब्रह्मा, हनुमान, रासलीला एवं मत्स्यावतार इत्यादि प्रमुख हैं।

According to the Mahabharata, a person who visits this tirtha related to incarnation of Lord Vishnu, gets freed from all sins and attains the world of Vishnu. According to Vaman Puran, Lord Vishnu took the form of Vaman here and abducted the kingdom of King Bali and gave it to Indra. There are many wall paintings made in the temple situated here, in which the prominent ones are Vishnu reclining on Sheshnaga, birth of Brahma from the navel lotus of Vishnu, Hanuman, Raaslila, Matsya Avatar etc.
