48 कोस कुरुक्षेत्र का आरोग्य प्रदाता तीर्थ
लोककथाओं के अनुसार राजा परीक्षित के पुत्र जनमेजय को गंभीर त्वचा रोग से यहीं मुक्ति मिली थी। यहां का सरोवर सिद्ध जोहड़ी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है जिसका पानी चर्म रोगों के लिए आज भी चमत्कारी माना जाता है। कहा जाता है कि महाभारत युद्ध के दौरान घायल योद्धाओं के साथ-साथ युद्ध में काम आने वाले पशुओं का उपचार इस सरोवर के जल से किया जाता था। तीर्थ स्थित बाबा देवी दास के समाधि मन्दिर से यहां की ऋषि परंपरा का पता चलता है। तीर्थों परिवेश से उत्तर-हड़प्पा से लेकर प्रारंभिक ऐतिहासिक काल तक के पुरावशेष यहां की सांस्कृतिक निरंतरता को दर्शाते हैं।

Disease curing tirtha of Kurukshetra region
According to folklore, king Janmejaya, the son of Parikshit got relief from a serious skin disease here. The tank here is famous by the name of Siddh Johri whose water is still considered miraculous for skin diseases. It is said that during the Mahabharata war, the injured warriors as well as the wounded animals used to be cured by its waters. The Samadhi temple of Baba Devi Das situated at the tirtha is indicative of a long ascetic tradition. The archaeological remains from the Late Harappan to the Early historical period from the vicinity of the tirtha show the antiquity of the tirtha.
