कुरुक्षेत्र भूमि की दक्षिण-पूर्वी सीमा का यक्ष
महाभारत में वर्णित चार यक्षों में से एक यह यक्ष तीर्थ मचक्रुक नामक यक्ष को समर्पित है जो कि दृषद्वती नदी के किनारे स्थित है। मचक्रुक नामक यह यक्ष कुरुक्षेत्र की दक्षिणी पूर्वी सीमा का द्वारपाल है। तीर्थ परिसर में एक यक्ष कुण्ड है। यहाँ प्राचीन काल में कोई मन्दिर था जिसकी नींव के अवशेष आज भी तीर्थ के दक्षिणी भाग में पाए जाते हैं। यक्ष कुण्ड तीर्थ के पूर्व में स्थित है। तीर्थ सरोवर के निर्माण में उत्तर मध्यकालीन लाखौरी ईंटों का प्रयोग हुआ है।
Machruk Yaksha Seenk
Yaksha of the south-eastern corner of Kurukshetra region
This tirtha is dedicated to Machruk Yaksha which is one of the four Yakshas mentioned in the Mahabharata. This Yaksha tirtha is located on the bank of River Drishadvati. There is a Yaksha Kund in the tirtha premises. Remains of an ancient temple have been found at the tirtha. Now a modern temple has been constructed over the old structures. Late medieval bathing ghats made of lakhori bricks exist in the tirtha tank.
