कर्ण वध से सम्बद्ध तीर्थ
जनश्रुतियों के अनुसार इसी स्थान पर महाभारत युद्ध के 17वें दिन अर्जुन से युद्ध करते समय यशस्वी दानवीर कर्ण के रथ का पहिया जमीन में धँस गया था। इसी समय महापराक्रमी अर्जुन के द्वारा कर्ण का वध कर दिया गया था। प्रचलित किंवदन्तियों के अनुसार इसी स्थान विशेष पर दानवीर कर्ण ने अपने जीवन के अन्तिम क्षणों में ब्राह्मण वेशधारी श्रीकृष्ण को अपना स्वर्ण मण्डित दाँत दान में दिया था। मन्दिर परिसर में मध्यकालीन मन्दिर के स्तम्भों के अवशेष मिले हैं।

Tirthas associated with killing of Karna
According to folklore, at this place, while fighting with Arjuna on the 17th day of Mahabharata war, the wheel of the chariot of Karna, the commander of Kauravas got stuck in the ground. Due to this reason, Karna was killed by the mighty Arjuna. According to popular legends, it was at this place that the Karna, the great donor presented his gold-plated tooth to Krishna who appeared before him as a Brahmin in disguise.
