भक्त ध्रुव को समर्पित तीर्थ
भक्त शिरोमणी ध्रुव से सम्बन्धित इस तीर्थ का वर्णन वराह पुराण में मिलता है। पौराणिक साहित्य के अन्तर्गत विष्णु पुराण में ध्रुव के जीवन व चरित्र पर पर्याप्त विवरण उपलब्ध होता है। लोक प्रचलित मान्यता के अनुसार ध्रुव ने इसी स्थान पर रहकर घोर तपस्या की थी जिसके कारण यह तीर्थ ध्रुव कुण्ड के नाम से विख्यात हुआ। जनसाधारण में प्रचलित विश्वास के अनुसार चैत्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष में यहीं पूजा अर्चना करने वाले मनुष्य को देवता इच्छित वर प्रदान करते हैं।

This tirtha related to Dhruva, the great devotee of Lord Vishnu, is mentioned in the Varaha Purana. There are ample details available about Dhruva’s life and character in the Puranas, especially the Vishnu Purana. According to popular belief, Dhruva had performed severe penance by staying at this place, due to which this tirtha became famous as Dhruva Kund. It is also believed that, the gods grant the desired boon to the person who worships on the occasion of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra.
