दक्षेश्वर तीर्थ डाचर
सती-शिव के पाणिग्रहण से सम्बन्धित तीर्थ
इस तीर्थ के धार्मिक महत्त्व का उल्लेख करते हुए वामन पुराण में कहा गया है कि जो मनुष्य इस स्थान पर दक्षेश्वर शिव का दर्शन करता है वह अश्वमेघ यज्ञ के फल को प्राप्त करता है। लोक प्रचलित जनश्रुति के अनुसार इसी स्थान पर शिव और सती का पाणिग्रहण संस्कार हुआ था। महाभारत में ऐसा वर्णन मिलता है कि अपने वनवास के दौरान पाण्डव भी यहाँ आए थे। इस तीर्थ में एक उत्तर-मध्यकालीन मन्दिर की छत पर सुन्दर वानस्पतिक अलंकरण हैं।

According to the Vaman Puran that a devotee who sees Daksheshwar Shiva at this place gets the merits of performing Ashwamedha yajna. According to popular belief, the marriage ceremony of Shiva and Sati took place here. As mention in the Mahabharata the Pandavas visited this place during their exile period. Roof of a Late medieval temple. standing at the tirtha has been embellished with floral depiction.
