सन्तों को समर्पित तीर्थ
यह तीर्थ एक संत तीर्थ है क्योंकि इस तीर्थ में आधुनिक मन्दिर के साथ लगता हुआ मन्दिर किसी संत को समर्पित है। मन्दिर के गर्भगृह में स्थापित मूर्तियों के साथ एक प्रतिहार कालीन (9वीं-10वीं शती ई.) विष्णु प्रतिमा भी है जिससे प्रतीत होता है कि मध्यकाल में यहां कोई मन्दिर रहा होगा। मन्दिर परिसर में अनेक नागा साधुओं की समाधियों है जिससे पता चलता है कि प्राचीन काल में यह तीर्थ नागा साधुओं की तपस्थली रहा होगा।

Tirtha dedicated to saints
This tirtha is dedicated to the saints whose temple exists adjacent to the modern temple. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple contains an image of Lord Vishnu of Pratihara period (9th-10th century CE) along with some modern images. This indicates the existence of a temple of medieval period at this place in the past. Samadhis of many Naga Sadhus are locaed in the tirtha complex.
