भूतेश्वर तीर्थ जीन्द
प्राचीन कुरुक्षेत्र के शैव तीर्थों में से एक
महाभारत में इस तीर्थ का वर्णन जयन्ती तीर्थ के नाम से मिलता है, लेकिन वामन पुराण में सोम तीर्थ के पश्चात् इस तीर्थ का महत्त्व भूतेश्वर ज्वालामालेश्वर के नाम से वर्णित है। एक मतानुसार महाराजा जींद द्वारा निर्मित मन्दिर ही वास्तविक भूतेश्वर ज्वालामालेश्वर तीर्थ है जबकि दूसरे मतानुसार अपराही मोहल्ले में स्थित भूतेश्वर मन्दिर ही वास्तविक प्राचीन तीर्थ है। वामन पुराण के अनुसार भूतेश्वर एवं ज्वालामालेश्वर नाम के इन दोनों लिंगों की पूजा करने वाला मनुष्य पुनर्जन्म ग्रहण नहीं करता है।

This tirtha is mentioned in the Mahabharata as Jayanti tirtha. In the Vaman Puran, this tirtha is called Bhuteshwar Jwalamaleshwar which comes after Som Tirtha. According to one opinion, the temple built by king of Jind is the real Bhuteshwar Jwalamaleshwar tirtha. According to other opinion, the temple located in nearby Aparahi Mohalla is the real ancient Bhuteshwar Jwalamaleshwar tirtha. According to the Vaman Puran, a person who worships these two Lingas named Bhuteshwar and Jwalamaleshwar is freed from the cycle of birth and death.
