बदरपाचन तीर्थ थानेसर
इस तीर्थ का संबंध ऋषि वशिष्ठ की पत्नी अरुंधति और ऋषि भारद्वाज की पुत्री श्रुतावती से है। महाभारत के अनुसार अरुंधति ने शिव के लिए तथा श्रुतावती ने इंद्र के लिए बेरी के फलों को यहीं पकाया था। वर्तमान में इस तीर्थ को ननद-भौजी तीर्थ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के बड़े भाई बलराम ने कुबेर तीर्थ से पहले इस तीर्थ का भ्रमण किया था। प्राचीन सरस्वती नदी के तट पर स्थित इस तीर्थ से उत्तर-मध्यकालीन पुरावशेष मिलते हैं।
Badarpachan Tirtha Thanesar
This tirtha is associated with Arundhati, the wife of sage Vasishtha and Shrutavati, the daughter of sage Bharadwaj. According to the Mahabharata, Arundhati cooked berry fruits for Shiva and Shrutavati cooked them for Indra, the king of gods. Presently, this tirtha is also known as Nand-Bhauji Tirtha. Lord Krishna’s elder brother Balarama visited this tirtha before reaching to Kuber tirtha. This tirtha which is located on the bank of ancient River Saraswati, has yielded Late-medieval
archaeological remains.
