बंटेश्वर तीर्थ बरोट
ऋषि कर्दम की तपोस्थली
जनश्रुति के अनुसार यहाँ कर्दम मुनि ने अपनी धर्मपत्नी के साथ पुत्र प्राप्ति के लिए भगवान विष्णु को प्रसन्न करने हेतु तप किया था। अतः यह मान्यता है कि जो भी व्यक्ति इस तीर्थ में पुत्र की मनोकामना से स्नान करता है, वह अवश्य ही अपना अभिलषित वर प्राप्त करता है। एक अन्य प्रचलित मान्यता इस तीर्थ का सम्बन्ध महर्षि वशिष्ठ से जोड़ती है। तीर्थ सरोवर से पूर्व मध्यकालीन पुरावशेष मिलते हैं जिससे इस तीर्थ की प्राचीनता सिद्ध होती है।

The seat of penance of sage Kardama
According to popular belief, sage Kardam along with his wife performed severe penance here to please Lord Vishnu with a desire to get a son. Hence, it is believed that whoever takes bath in this tirtha with the desire of getting a son, definitely his boon is fulfilled. Another popular belief connects this tirtha with sage Vasishtha. The existence of Pre-medieval remains found near the tirtha tank prove the antiquity of this tirtha.
