महान सिद्ध कपिल मुनि से सम्बद्ध तीर्थ
कुरुक्षेत्र भूमि में कपिल मुनि से सम्बन्धित तीर्थों में से एक इस तीर्थ का सम्बन्ध भी सांख्य शास्त्र के प्रणेता महर्षि कपिल से है। इसी तीर्थ परिसर में सरोवर के उत्तर में एक उत्तर-मध्यकालीन कृष्ण मन्दिर है। मन्दिर के मण्डप की भित्तियों पर जगन्नाथ, दान लीला, गजलक्ष्मी, भीष्म शरशैय्या, राधा कृष्ण, कंस वध, राधा की वेणी सजाते हुए कृष्ण, नृसिंह, वराह, सहस्रबाहु वध आदि दृश्य चित्रित हैं। गर्भगृह की भित्तियों में वानस्पतिक अलंकरण के साथ-साथ चारों भित्तियों पर पौराणिक चित्र बने हैं।

Tirthas related to sage Kapila
This is one of the tirthas of Kurukshetra region related to sage Kapila, the exponent of Samkhya system of philosophy. In the tirtha complex, there is a Late medieval temple dedicated to Krishna. The paintings depict various theme such as figures of Lord Jagannath, Daan Leela, Gajalakshmi, Bhishma lying on bed of arrows, Radha Krishna, Krishna killing Kamsa, Krishna decorating Radha’s braid, Narasimha, Varaha, Parshurama killing king Sahasrabahu etc. Floral ornamentation on the walls of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple have been executed carefully.
