जमदग्नि कुण्ड जलमाणा
ऋषि जमदग्नि से सम्बद्ध तीर्थों में से एक
इस तीर्थ का सम्बन्ध महर्षि परशुराम के पिता महर्षि जमदग्नि से है। जनश्रुतियों के अनुसार यह स्थल महर्षि जमदग्नि का आश्रम है जहाँ वह अपनी पत्नी रेणुका एवं अपने पुत्रों के साथ निवास करते थे। इनके पुत्र परशुराम पिता के परम भक्त थे जिन्होंने एक बार पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करते हुए अपनी माता रेणुका को मार दिया था। पिता से वरदान पाकर पुनः उन्होंने माता को पुनर्जीवित करवा लिया था। कहा जाता है कि परशुराम ने अन्यायी क्षत्रियों के विरूद्ध अपना संघर्ष यहीं से शुरू किया था।

This tirtha related to sage Jamdagni, the father of Parashurama was according to folklore, the place where his hermitage stood and lived with wife Renuka and his sons. His son Parashurama was a great devotee of his father who was forced to kill his mother on the orders of his father. After getting a boon from his father, he revived his mother again, It is also said that Parashurama started his struggle against the unjust Kshatriyas from here.
