इक्षुमति तीर्थ पोलड़
प्राचीन सरस्वती नदी तट पर स्थित तीर्थ
यह तीर्थ प्राचीन नदी इक्षुमति (सरस्वती) से सम्बन्धित है। इस नदी का उल्लेख पाणिनी ने भी किया है। महर्षि बाल्मीकि कृत रामायण के अयोध्या काण्ड में जिस समय महर्षि वशिष्ठ की आज्ञा से पाँच दूत कैकय देश के राजगृह नगर में जाते हैं तो उनके मार्ग में आने वाली इक्षुमति नदी का स्पष्ट उल्लेख है। तीर्थ के साथ लगते हुए टीले से आद्य ऐतिहासिक काल (6-5वीं शती ई.पू.) से लेकर मध्यकाल तक की अनेक संस्कृतियों के पुरावशेष मिलते हैं।

Tirtha situated on the bank of River Saraswati
This tirtha is located on the bank of River Saraswati also known as Ikshumati in the past. River Ikshumati has also been mentioned by Panini, in his famous grammar treatise Ashtadhyayi. In the Ayodhya Kand of the Ramayana by sage Valmiki, this river finds mention when the messengers were going to the country of Kekaya to bring prince Bharata back to Ayodhya. The remains of Early historic to medieval period have been found from an ancient mound adjacent to the tirtha.
