श्रीकुंज तीर्थ बानपुरा
प्राचीन सरस्वती की धारा पर स्थित तीर्थ
महाभारत एवं वामन पुराण दोनों में ही इस तीर्थ को सरस्वती के तट पर स्थित बताया गया है। महाभारत के अनुसार यहाँ स्नान करने पर मनुष्य को अग्निष्टोम यज्ञ का फल मिलता है। वामन पुराण के काल में भी इस तीर्थ का महत्त्व बिल्कुल वैसा ही था जैसा महाभारत के काल में था। यह तीर्थ पिहोवा के स्योंसर के जंगल में स्थित है। यहाँ से प्राप्त शुंग एवं कुषाण कालीन ईंटों से सिद्ध होता है कि यह अति प्राचीन तीर्थ स्थल है।

Tirtha situated on the bank of River Saraswati
In the Mahabharata and Vamana Purana, this tirtha is said to be located on the bank of River Saraswati. According to the Mahabharata, a person gets the fruits of performing Agnishtom Yajna by taking a sacred bath here. Even in the times of the Vamana Purana, the importance of this tirtha was exactly the same as it was in the times of the Mahabharata. This tirtha is located in the forest of Seonsar in Pehowa. The bricks of early historic period recovered from here prove the antiquity of this tirtha.
