पवनहद तीर्थ पबनावा
मरुदगणों से सम्बन्धित तीर्थ
महाभारत में इसे पवन देवता से तथा वामन पुराण में महादेव एवं पवन दोनों से सम्बन्धित बताया गया है। पौराणिक आख्यानों के अनुसार यह वही सरोवर है जहां पवन देव पुत्रशोक से संतप्त होकर विलीन हो गए थे, तत्पश्चात् ब्रह्मा जी के साथ सभी देवताओं के द्वारा की गई विभिन्न स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर वे पुनः आविर्भूत हुए थे। तीर्थ पर उत्तर-मध्यकालीन घाट बने हैं। यहां स्थित बांके बिहारी मन्दिर में सुन्दर भित्तिचित्रों का अंकन है।

Tirtha associated with Pawan, the wind deity
In the Mahabharata, it has been related to the Wind deity and in the Vamana Purana, it has been related to both Shiva and Wind deity. According to myths, this is the same tank where the Wind deity had disappeared after being saddened by the loss of his son and later he reappeared after being pleased by prayers sung by all the divine beings along with Brahma. Late medieval ghats have been built at the tirtha. Banke Bihari temple located here has beautiful wall paintings.
