लव-कुश तीर्थ मुन्दड़ी
प्राचीन कुरुक्षेत्र भूमि का रामायण कालीन तीर्थ
लोक प्रचलित किंवदन्तियों के अनुसार इसी स्थान पर भगवान राम एवं सीता के पुत्र लव एवं कुश ने महर्षि बाल्मीकि से रामायण के सम्पूर्ण श्लोक कण्ठस्थ कर लिए थे। जनश्रुति के अनुसार लव एवं कुश को सम्पूर्ण रामायण कण्ठस्थ करवा देने के पश्चात् महर्षि बाल्मीकि ने मौन धारण कर लिया था। मन्दिर के गर्भगृह में भित्तिचित्रों का अंकन है। तीर्थ की खुदाई से पहली शती ई. से लेकर 9वीं-10वी शती ई. के पुरावशेष मिलते हैं जिनमें से कुछ मृद्धात्र तथा यहां से मिला एक कुषाण कालीन कुआ प्रमुख है।

Tirtha existed during the times of Ramayana
According to popular legends, it was at this place that Lava and Kusha, the sons of Lord Rama and Sita, had memorized the entire story of the Ramayana from sage Valmiki. According to popular belief, after Lava and Kusha memorized the entire Ramayana, sage Valmiki took a vow of silence. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple contains paintings. Excavation of the tirtha has yielded archaeological remains from the Ist to the 9th-10th century CE. Some earthen pots and a well of Kushana period (Ist cent. CE) existed at this tirtha.
