आपगा तीर्थ गादली
प्राचीन आपगा नदी स्थित तीर्थ
महाभारत तथा वामन पुराण दोनों में ही ‘आपगा’ नाम से वर्णित यह पवित्र नदी निःसन्देह ऋग्वैदिक काल की आपगा नदी ही है जो कि सरस्वती नदी की एक प्रमुख सहायक नदी थी। महाभारत के अनुसार यहां स्नान कर देवताओं एवं पितरों की पूजा अर्चना कर यहाँ एक रात निवास करने वाले मनुष्य को अग्निष्टोम यज्ञ का फल प्राप्त होता है। वामन पुराण में कहा गया है कि भाद्रपद मास के कृष्णपक्ष की चतुर्दशी को मध्याह्न काल में यहाँ पिण्डदान करने वाला मनुष्य मोक्षपद को प्राप्त करता है।

Tirtha situated on the ancient River Aapaga
Aapga, the holy river of Rigvedic period is also mentioned in the Mahabharata and the Vaman Puran. This river was a major tributary of River Saraswati. According to the Mahabharata, a person who bathes here, worships the divinities and ancestors and stays here for one night, gets the fruits of performing Agnishtom Yajna. The Vaman Puran states that a person who offers Pind Daan here in the afternoon of Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of the month Bhadrapad, attains salvation.
