प्राचीन पुरातात्विक टीले पर स्थित तीर्थ
यह तीर्थ प्राचीन पुरातात्विक टीले पर स्थित है जिसे ओंकार का खेड़ा कहा जाता है। महाभारत और पौराणिक साहित्य में इस तीर्थ को दुर्लभ बताते हुए इसका सेवन करने वाले व्यक्ति के लिए सूर्य लोक की प्राप्ति बताई गई है। इससे सिद्ध होता है कि यह तीर्थ सूर्य देवता को समर्पित रहा होगा। इस टीले से उत्तर-हड़प्पा काल से लेकर गुप्त काल तक के अवशेष मिलते हैं। यहां स्थित मन्दिर कि आन्तरिक भित्तियों पर पौराणिक चित्रों के साथ वानस्पतिक अलंकरण किया गया है।

Tirtha located on an ancient mound
This tirtha is situated on an ancient archaeological mound known as Omkar Ka Khera. In the Mahabharata and mythological literature, this tirtha is described as rare sacred spot where a devotee who visits attains the Surya Lok or the world of Surya. This proves that this tirtha must have been dedicated to the Surya or Sun deity. Remains from the Late Harappan to the Gupta period are found from this mound. Tirtha temple contains wall paintings on religious themes.
