कण्व ऋषि से सम्बन्धित तीर्थ
लौकिक आख्यान इस तीर्थ का सम्बन्ध ऋषि कण्व से जोड़ते हैं जो कि राजा भरत की माता शंकुतला के पालक पिता थे। वर्तमान में तीर्थ पर नागर शिखर युक्त भव्य राम मन्दिर बना हुआ है। यह तीर्थ दृषद्वती नदी की प्राचीन धारा पर स्थित है जिसमें अष्टकोण बुर्जियों से युक्त उत्तर-मध्यकालीन स्नान घाट बने हुए हैं। तीर्थ परिसर से मौय कालीन (चौथी शती ई. पूर्व) के भवन के अवशेष मिले हैं। तीर्थ परिसर के निकट लगभग 20 एकड़ भूमि में फैले टीले से विकसित हड़प्पा काल से लेकर धूसर चित्रित मृदभाण्डों के अतिरिक्त आद्य ऐतिहासिक काल के पुरावशेष भी मिले हैं।

Tirtha related to sage Kanva
Legends relate this tirtha to sage Kanva who was the foster father of Shakuntala, the mother of king Bharat. At present, a magnificent Rama temple with Nagar Shikhara stands at the tirtha. The tirtha is located on the palaeochannel of River Drishadvati. Late medieval bathing ghats with octagonal turrets adorn the tirtha tank. Remains of structures from the Maurya period (4th century BCE) have been located in the tirtha complex. The mound, spread over about 20 acres of land near the tirtha complex, has yielded potteries and other artefacts belonging to the Harappan and Painted Grey Ware periods.
