Tirtha related to sage Jamdagni

According to folklore, Jamdagni, the great grandson of sage Orva and son of Richik, stayed at this tirtha during his pilgrimage. Sage Jamdagni, born in the Bhrigu clan, was the father of sage Parashurama. There are samadhis of many saints in the tirtha complex. For this reason, the tradition of Rishi Puja has been going on here since the distant past. Late medieval ghats with octagonal turrets made of lakhori bricks exist at the tank of the tirtha.
