च्यवन ऋषि की तपोस्थली
यह तीर्थ च्यवन ऋषि से सम्बन्धित है जिन्हे अश्विनी कुमारों ने युवा अवस्था प्रदान की थी। च्यवन ऋषि ने अश्विनी कुमारों के इस उपकार के बदले उन्हें सोम रस पान का अधिकारी बनाया था। लोककथाओं के अनुसार, महाभारत के युद्ध के दौरान पाण्डवों और उनके शिविर के लिए यहीं भोजन यहां तैयार किया जाता था। इसलिए लोक मान्यताओं में इसे चुल्हा तीर्थ भी कहा जाता है। तीर्थ परिवेश से आद्य-ऐतिहासिक एवं मध्य कालीन मृद्भाण्ड एवं पुरावशेष मिलते हैं।

The place of penance of sage Chyavan
This tirtha is related to sage Chyavan who was given youthfulness by Ashwini Kumars, the physicians of the gods. In return for this favour, sage Chyavan made them eligible to drink Somras. According to folklore, during the Mahabharata war, food was prepared here for the Pandavas and their camp. Therefore, in folk belief, it is also called Chulha tirtha.
